Jesus Raises Lazarus

Jesus had three good friends: Martha, Mary, and their brother Lazarus. Jesus loved them very much.

One day Lazarus got very, very sick. His sisters sent for Jesus. But by the time Jesus came, Lazarus was gone, and everyone was crying. Jesus cried too. Jesus cares when we are sad.

Jesus went to the cave where they had laid Lazarus. He prayed to God his Father. Then he called Lazarus by name, in a great big voice, and told him to come out.

And out walked Lazarus, alive! His sisters hugged him tight. Hooray!

Jesus is stronger than everything. Jesus is your friend, and God loves you!
