After Jesus went back to heaven, his friends waited and prayed together in a room in Jerusalem. Jesus had promised to send them a wonderful gift.
Then, whoosh! A sound like a big wind filled the whole house.
Little flames, like candle flames, came and rested over each of them. But nobody got hurt! It was the Holy Spirit, God's own Spirit, coming to fill them with God's love.
Now Jesus' friends were brave and happy. They went outside and told everyone about Jesus. People from many lands heard them in their very own languages!
